Wizard's chess

This is my final for Lighting and Rendering I class. I learned a lot about VFX lighting and shading in the class. One of the best class I took. This piece was inspired from the scene in Harry Potter when Ron and Harry was playing this magical chess in the library during Christmas. I shot the footage and HDRI at home using a pano kit. I stitched the HDRI with PTGui and cleaned it up in Nuke. The chess board is sculpted in Zbrush and the pieces are modeled in Maya. I tracked the camera with 3DEqualizer. For lighting, I brought in the HDRI and adjusted the lighting using Nuke's grade and roto nodes.
